Thinking It Might Be Time for a New Truck?

Fear Not, Technology Has Once Again Overcome The Problem

As I am sure you are aware, truck manufacturers have had a long and difficult struggle
providing reliable trucks, while at the same time needing to comply with increasingly stringent emissions standards.  Under the 2007 Standard, particular difficulties occurred in short haul trucks as well as any truck that was forced to spend a lot of time idling.

Meeting the 2010 Standard required exhaust reduction technology be improved to an even greater degree.

A popular approach has been the use of Urea, commonly known as DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), combined with the technology gained over a number of years of development.  This approach has reduced the need for exhaust regeneration by 90% on many systems.  Enough progress has been made that several manufacturers are now offering a 5-year extended warranty of their exhaust emission systems for as little as $400 when purchased along with an extended engine warranty.  This program wouldn't be offered so inexpensively if the manufacturers weren't sure the system was reliable.
Users have learned many tricks to minimizing problems, like being careful to avoid contamination of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid.  However, the most effective solution to reducing emission system damage is still reducing idling time to as little as possible.  Which is what Retriever owners have been enjoying since the 2006 introduction of our exclusive No Idle System™.
The No Idle System was first offered for the purpose of helping customers comply with expanding no idle truck regulations when there were no other reasonable options available.  It also offered the additional benefit of cost savings through reduced fuel usage, (about 400 gallons per year in a single shift operation).   As it turns out, the System also helps reduce the amount of emission systems maintenance required.
So, now that buying a new truck for hauling is a little less frightening, make sure you equip that truck with an accessory that provides multiple ways to improve your bottom line.  Make sure your new truck is sporting a RetrieverG4.
