One
of the easiest features we ever came up with for The Retriever is the
"No Idle System". Figuring out how to eliminate hydraulics and make the
Retriever bed air operated was a different story, but once we had that
working well it was just a matter of adding a large enough air tank and a
little valving to create the "No Idle System". And what a no-brainer
to justify, 400 gallons of fuel per year saved (based on 2 hours per day
of idling) and elimination of No Idle Law violations. Additionally,
any truck salesman worth his salt will tell you that idling is the
hardest duty for a modern highway truck engine, creating
disproportionate engine wear and plugging up the DPF filter. Of all The
Retriever feature values this one has the potential to most extremely
exceed the value we have assigned.
